Diggers, Dumpers & Telehandlers - Harpenden Plant Hire

Plant hire in Harpenden from Bucks Site Services gives homeowners and contractors the machines they need for extensions, drainage and garden projects of every size. Generous plots and tight side access often sit next to each other here, so our diggers start at 1 tonne for gateways and patios and go up to 5 tonnes for footings and deeper drainage, with mid range machines in between for service runs and soakaways. Buckets are matched to the trench width and a hydraulic breaker is available for concrete and hard ground. Dumpers from 1 to 9 tonnes carry spoil out to the front of the property, with tracked dumpers to spread the load on lawns and soft ground. Telehandlers from 4 to 9 metres take blocks, timber and roof tiles straight up to scaffold level. Call 01296 799999 or get in touch using the buttons below to book a machine.

Our Machinery & Harpenden Grab Hire

Alongside our machinery, we offer grab hire in Harpenden for muck away and hardcore away. A grab lorry removes around 16 tonnes in one load and reaches up to six metres from the road, so material can be lifted over a front wall or hedge without crossing the drive. With no skip sitting on the road there is no permit to sort out, and every load comes with a waste transfer note. It takes soil, clay, concrete, brick and rubble, which makes it a good fit for clearing extension footings or a large garden dig. Book the grab alongside your digger, dumper or telehandler and we will schedule collections to keep the site clear, adding extras like cement mixers or generators if the job needs them.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We’ve been hiring diggers and dumpers plus other items from Billy at Bucks Site Services for a while now, and the service has been spot on every time. The machines are always well-maintained, reliable, and ready to go straight to work, which makes a huge difference on site. Billy himself is easy to deal with—friendly, professional, and always does his best to sort things quickly, even at short notice. Delivery and collection are prompt, and you can tell he genuinely cares about keeping his customers moving without delays. It’s hard to find plant hire this dependable these days. Would highly recommend Bucks Site Services to anyone needing quality equipment and a service you can rely on.
