Aylesbury Telehandler Hire
Here at Bucks Site Services, we provide operated and self-drive telehandler hire services to customers throughout Aylesbury and as far as Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire. Rather than hiring multiple machines, a telehandler is the perfect machine to lift materials that need placing or moving at height. They can make small and large scale construction projects more efficient and combine the mobility of a tracked forklift, the height of a small crane and the versatility of a loader. When hiring a machine it’s important to think about the weight of the loads you’ll be moving and at what height. If you’re working at ground level the telehandlers can handle more weight but as they extend this capacity is reduced. If you’re unsure which telehandler is right for you, give us a call on 01296 799999 or use our contact form to ask anything you need to know about size, heights, loads and availability.

Hiring A Telehandler
When hiring a telehandler it’s common for people to hire the machine for the initial stages of a project. Pallets of bricks, tiles, blocks and timber will all need moving upon delivery and may require lifting above the ground floor. It’s unlikely you’ll need the telehandler for the entire duration of the project. By speaking with Bucks Site Services about your project, we can help you plan when and where you’ll need the telehandler and the most economical way to hire it. You don’t want it sitting idle whilst you’re still paying for it. Before sending a telehandler to your project we complete a full safety check and ensure it remains serviced throughout the year. If you’d like to find out more, please feel free to WhatsApp, call or use our enquiry form.

We’ve been hiring diggers and dumpers plus other items from Billy at Bucks Site Services for a while now, and the service has been spot on every time. The machines are always well-maintained, reliable, and ready to go straight to work, which makes a huge difference on site. Billy himself is easy to deal with—friendly, professional, and always does his best to sort things quickly, even at short notice. Delivery and collection are prompt, and you can tell he genuinely cares about keeping his customers moving without delays. It’s hard to find plant hire this dependable these days. Would highly recommend Bucks Site Services to anyone needing quality equipment and a service you can rely on.Posted on Google![]()

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have any questions about telehandler hire? Take a look at what we get asked the most and if you still have questions, feel free to get in touch.
Yes attachments are available. A standard it comes with the pallet forks but we can also provide bucket, grab, hook, jib and working platform ones at an additional cost. Any attachments that are used for lifting come with their own test certificate.
If you’re hiring on a self-drive basis then you’ll usually be asked for a CPCS A17 or an NPORS N010. If you’re lifting people, the machine has to be fitted with the correct platform and interlock. The person lifted will also need their own license. If you don’t have these, choosing an operated hire is your best bet as it’s cheaper and quicker than booking onto a training course.
It depends on the size of the telehandler and whether you intend on working at ground level or higher. A 4 tonne rated machine extended out will have the capacity significantly reduced. Each machine comes with a load chart so even if we’re not there, you still have the reference point to go off. When you speak to us, let us know the details of the project, what material and weight you’ll be moving and at what height, and we can tell you the best telehandler for your job.
Before delivery you’ll need to check there’s space and firm ground to deliver the telehandler. You’ll also need to review overhead cables for working at height and gateways and doorways it’s going to pass through when on site. As they weigh 7 to 12 tonnes, they’ll need a solid grounding to work from too.
You should receive a LOLER examination report from within the last 12 months. If it’s used to lift people then this should be within the last 6 months. We provide the report, the load charts and the operator manual upon delivery. If an inspector visits the site, it’s likely they will ask for these so keep them with the telehandler or on site at all times.
